Posting an article or blog is very easy and this tutorial will have you up and running in minutes. A popular format for posts is to place a banner image across the top of the page and also to have a Home Page where you can say a few words about yourself and keep links to all your other blogs. This tutorial will show you how to do this quickly and easily. Have a look at the Example Post before you start. It has some useful tips.

Basic Post – To make a post, log in and click the ‘Posts’ tab and selct ‘Add New’ in the dashboard panel on the left. In the Edit Panel (in the centre) type a name for your post in the entry box at the top. Tip: Keep it simple.

There are two methods of editing your post, selected by the Visual and HTML tabs. Select the HTML tab. Now, simply copy and paste the code from the main section of  This Page into the ‘Content’ field below the toolbar of the Edit Panel.

Once you have pasted the code from the above page into the HTML pane, click the Save Draft button in the right hand Publish Pane and then the Prieview button to see your new page. If you are not familiar with HTML code, try using the Visual tab setting to continue editing in a more intuitive way.

You can save your page as a draft and come back to it later, or when you are happy with it, click the Publish button and your Post will be placed onto the Third Quest Home Page!

It is a good idea to write a short exerpt, sometimes called a teaser, to briefly tell everyone what your Post is about.

Home Page - To make a home page, first create a new post as you did for your first post. Now, copy and paste the code from the main section of  This Page into the ‘Content’ field of your new post in the same way that you did before.
