Einstein’s Mistake

When Hubble declared that light appeared to bend as it passed the earth, Einstein stated that the phenomenon was caused by the effects of gravity. However, a new theory claims that Einstein was wrong and that the light only appears to bend because the earth is expanding. While this new theory may seem implausible at first glance, it does seem to make sense in that it fits in with the concept of an expanding universe, something which Einstein did accept as being true.

D41To grasp the idea we must consider just what the nature of the expansion process might be. Does the universe get bigger as more and more stars grow at its outer extremities? Does it expand by having ever increasing spaces between its solar clusters? Or does the universe and everything in it expand at the same rate?

The new theory suggests the latter is true. With everything from the tiniest particle of an atom to the greatest of suns expanding at the same rate, it has been impossible for us to note this expansion process. As our world expands, so do we by the same amount, and therefore nothing seems to change. According to the theory, the one clue to this process that we have been overlooking is gravity, as the concept provides us with a partial explanation for its cause. It also explains very neatly why light appears to bend as it passes large objects, like planets, suggesting that light is not affected by gravity after all.

How ever unlikely this theory may seem, it does lead us to a feasible explanation for the nature of the fourth dimension of space, something for which scientists have been searching for a very long time. How long have we understood the neat and simple definitions of the first three dimensions, width, height and depth, yet been baffled by the exceedingly complex explanations for the whereabouts of the fourth dimension that scientists expect us to entertain? Perhaps it has been too long, because now, armed with this new concept we can consider that the fourth dimension is no more complicated that the other three. The fourth dimension of space can now be denoted by one letter alone, ‘r’ being representative of the radius of the universe.

D42Now we can see that five rather than four dimensions describe our universe, those being width, height, depth, radius and time, and that the universe and everything in it is slowly expanding in the fourth dimension. From here the theory provides us with yet another five dimensions, making ten in all, by suggesting that a second half of the universe exists which is contracting rather than expanding.

If all this seems to be conveniently simplistic, perhaps we should remember the old saying that simple ideas are always the best. Is there any proof you might ask? If the explanations for gravity and the phenomenon of bending light are not sufficient evidence, we might wonder why the distance between us and the moon is not growing all the time?  If the theory was true, surely such distances would be slowly but gradually increasing. Well here is the surprise, using sophisticated lazar measuring techniques, scientists have recently proved that they are!

The original theory can be found encoded within the pages of The Tome of Seus, which is feely available on the Internet, or you can read another, perhaps better decoded explanation here: D4=R
